Boutique Marketing firm in NYC seeks Software Engineer to help with the development of a web-application. The venture is more than likely a 4-6 week job. You will be implementing a web-application where the specifications are identified through a fully interactive design comp. The front-end UI is developed (XHTML, CSS , JavaScript) and handed-off to engineer for database development and make “live” in a build and release environment. REQUIREMENTS : Great software development skills with experience building commercial software in (at least one dynamic programming language) Python, PHP , C/C++, Ruby, C# or Java… Expert scripting ability in at least two scripting languages. Expertise in relational databases (MySQL, SQL , etc.) General Linux systems administration-level knowledge and system level debugging skills Knowledge of software engineering practices: continuous build/integration environment Deep understanding of the Web technology stack (TCP/IP, HTTP , HTML, JavaScript, CSS ) B.S
